ROB RUN Tier List: Best Weapons Ranked for Early Access

A role-based ROB RUN tier list for Early Access, with paper DPS, Mark variants and the close-range, mid-range and long-range picks that matter.

Last Updated: 2026-11-06

Quick answer. The strongest all-round pick in the current build is the AP Scalar for close-range pressure, with the RC 5.56 as the easier mid-range rifle. The TAG-12K wins close fights, the Vulture 50 owns long lines, and the LM 249 is the best sustained-fire option. Rank by role, not by one damage number.

  • Paper DPS is damage × RPM ÷ 60. It ignores reloads, armour and recoil.
  • A Mark 3 version of a lower-tier gun can beat a Mark 1 version of a higher-tier one.
  • Range and exit speed decide more fights than raw damage.

How this tier list is built

There is no official weapon-class list from Kefir, and no published recoil or armour table. The ranking below uses three inputs:

  1. Tracked damage and RPM, converted to paper DPS.
  2. Role fit: close quarters, mid-range, long range or sustained fire.
  3. Practicality: how forgiving the weapon is when a heist turns into a chase.

It is a starting point for choosing a loadout, not a claim that one gun wins every fight. The full weapons table→ has every tracked entry and its Mark range.

The tier list

Tier Weapon Role Damage RPM Paper DPS Why it sits here
S AP Scalar Close-range SMG 14 1000 233.3 Highest sustained close-range output; punishes anyone who misses the first shot
S TAG-12K Close-range shotgun 9 × 8 240 288.0 Best burst damage in the list if the spread connects
S SR Reaper Marksman rifle 17 750 212.5 Fast follow-up shots at range; less punishing than a bolt-action
S LM 249 Light machine gun 18 706 211.8 Sustained fire without a reload every two seconds
S ORDR-12 Shotgun 9 × 8 171 205.2 Hard-hitting second shotgun option; slower than the TAG-12K
A JP-7 SMG 15 750 187.5 Strong close-range alternative with more reach than the AP Scalar
A PDW90 SMG 13 857 185.7 High rate of fire; rewards magazine discipline
A RC 5.56 Assault rifle 16 667 177.9 The most forgiving mid-range pick for new players
A STAR-H Rifle 21 500 175.0 Harder hits, slower cadence; good when you hold a line
A KL-545 Assault rifle 15 600 150.0 Stable all-rounder, but out-DPSed by the RC 5.56
A Harris 500 Shotgun 9 × 8 120 144.0 Slow but devastating in a doorway
A Vulture 50 Sniper rifle 36 240 144.0 Best long-range tool; one shot per engagement is the point
B DRM-14 Marksman rifle 34 240 136.0 Rewards precision, punishes panic
B MC-10 SMG 12 667 133.3 Cheap pressure; falls off against armour
B CB45 Pistol 14 545 127.2 Reliable starter sidearm
B LBR-44 Rifle 34 200 113.3 Slow-firing; needs distance and patience
B DP-9 SMG 18 333 99.9 Low rate of fire for the class; better as a budget pick

Values are community-tracked and checked on 6 November 2026. Kefir has not published an official stat sheet, and Early Access patches can move them.

DPS is not a tier

Paper DPS assumes every shot hits and ignores reload time, armour and recoil. A 288 DPS shotgun that misses is worse than a 150 DPS rifle that connects. Use the table to shortlist, then test the gun in a low-stakes run.

Why the AP Scalar tops the list

The AP Scalar is the cleanest example of why RPM matters in this game. Fourteen damage per shot looks unimpressive next to a 36-damage sniper, but at 1000 RPM it puts more damage into a doorway than anything else in the tracked list. In a heist, most fights happen at doorway distance, which is exactly where the Scalar works.

Its weakness is the same as every high-RPM weapon: ammunition and reload discipline. If you empty the magazine into a wall, the follow-up is a pistol. Pair it with a secondary that can reach across a street.

Why the RC 5.56 is the better beginner rifle

The RC 5.56 does not win the DPS table. It wins the usability test. At 667 RPM and 16 damage it has enough output to finish a fight, enough reach to hold a street, and a cadence that does not punish a missed burst as hard as the STAR-H or DRM-14.

For a new player, the difference between 177.9 paper DPS and 212.5 paper DPS is smaller than the difference between hitting and missing. The best weapons page→ breaks the picks down by role and budget.

What the Mark column means

Several weapons exist in Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 3 variants. The Mark is a direct upgrade path: a higher Mark is the same weapon family with better performance. That creates a simple rule for loot:

  • Take a Mark 3 version of a weapon you can use over a Mark 1 version of a weapon you cannot.
  • Do not carry two weapons from the same role. A second SMG does not solve a long-range problem.
  • If you find a Mark 3 shotgun, it can replace both your close-range primary and your backup plan.

The weapons list→ shows which families have which Marks.

Picking a tier by the run you are doing

Run type First pick Backup Reason
First robbery AP Scalar or CB45 Any shotgun Cheap, common, good at doorway range
Bank or vault heist TAG-12K or ORDR-12 RC 5.56 Burst damage for the interior, reach for the exit
Solo cargo run RC 5.56 Vulture 50 You want to avoid fights, not win them
Police shift RC 5.56 LM 249 Range plus sustained fire when backup arrives
Clan territory fight LM 249 or SR Reaper AP Scalar Hold a line, then push

FAQ

What is the best weapon in ROB RUN?

The AP Scalar is the best all-round close-range weapon in the tracked list. The TAG-12K has higher burst damage but depends on spread. For mid-range, the RC 5.56 is the most forgiving pick.

Is the Vulture 50 worth using?

Yes, if you fight at distance. Its 36 damage and 240 RPM give it a 144 paper DPS, which is lower than the SMGs, but it does that damage from across a street. It is a role pick, not a primary for every run.

Do weapon Marks matter more than the base weapon?

Usually yes. A Mark 3 version of a mid-tier family can outperform a Mark 1 version of a top-tier family. Check the Mark before you compare two guns.

Are these stats official?

No. Damage and RPM values are community-tracked as of 6 November 2026. Kefir has not published an official weapon table, and values can change in Early Access patches.
