ROB RUN Guide: Heists, Money, Weapons & Base Building
A system-level ROB RUN guide for Early Access: Looty Bay heists, money and laundering, weapons, bases, clans and the seven-day wipe.
Quick answer. ROB RUN is a first-person crime sandbox where every cop, robber and landlord is another player. The loop is simple: scout Looty Bay without a mask, rob a target, sell the cargo, bank the cash, then build a base before the seven-day wipe erases the board.
- Start with the beginner route→, not with a weapon purchase.
- Heists pay for the first plot; the plot pays for everything after it.
- Death rules depend on your role, not on a single global penalty.
- The wipe is a reset, not a loss: cash, bases and territory all go.

Bank and spend with the weekly wipe in mind; a big balance on reset day is a wasted asset.
What ROB RUN actually is
ROB RUN launched on Steam on 4 November 2026 as a free-to-play Early Access game from Kefir, the studio behind STALCRAFT. The store page calls it a brutal crime sandbox for thousands of players; in practice the city of Looty Bay holds a few thousand players at once, and the design leans on the tension between criminals, cops and property owners.
It is not a single-player story with multiplayer attached. There is no scripted campaign to finish. The content is the negotiation between players over cargo, land and tax income.
Three details shape every decision:
- You choose a side on each city entry. Enter as a civilian, a criminal or a cop. The mask is what makes you a criminal.
- Death costs different things to different roles. A criminal loses the bag; a cop loses only department gear; a civilian keeps the bag and equipment.
- Everything resets every seven days. Kefir calls it the Federal Raid. Plots, bases, weapons and cash are wiped and converted into jail time and authority.
The five loops that matter
| Loop | What you do | What it pays | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heists | Mask up, rob stores or vaults, escape Looty Bay | Cargo and cash | Heists |
| Cargo | Haul loot to a fence or flip cargo between buyers | Cash, with price variance | Loot values |
| Base | Rent a plot, build production and storage | Passive goods and a respawn | Base guide |
| Police | Join the department, arrest criminals, seize contraband | Salary, seizures, bribes | Police guide |
| Territory | Buy settlements, tax residents, climb the pyramid | Rent and transaction cuts | Power pyramid |
Most new players try to do all five in the first hour. The ones who stick around pick one loop, learn its exit, and only then add a second. The money guide→ explains why the first plot beats the first rifle.
Which guide to read first
If you have not played yet, read the beginner guide and copy its first-hour route. It assumes no cash, no base and no clan, which is exactly the state the game gives you.
If you have played a few hours and keep dying with a full bag, read the death rules in the beginner guide→, then the heist page→. Most early deaths are not aim failures; they are exits taken too late.
If you are already making money, the constraint moves to storage. Cash can be stolen or confiscated; banked money is safe until the next wipe. The bank and laundering page→ covers the account and the Laundering Desk.
If you are recruiting, read clans→ and wipe planning→ together. A clan that does not plan around the reset will spend the last two days of every cycle defending assets that are about to disappear.
What the Early Access label changes
ROB RUN is not a finished game. The launch build has already received a first balance pass: cop respawn timers were extended, police badges became purchasable by district, and every player now starts with a pistol. Kefir has said updates will continue and posts announcements through Steam, Discord and X.
That matters for guide accuracy. Weapon stats, cargo prices and heist payouts can move in a single patch. This site dates every page and labels community-tracked numbers. If a value disagrees with your build, trust the game and treat the page as a starting point.
The Steam review score sat at 55% Mixed from 2,617 reviews on 6 November 2026, with 22,098 players online at the time of checking. The complaints are real: performance on mid-range PCs, the speed at which cops respond, and the loss of a full bag to a fight you did not choose. The game is not for everyone. The guides here are written for players who want to work the systems rather than fight them.

Is there a skill tree or a character build?
Not in the current build, in the sense that most RPGs use the term. Kefir has not published a skill-tree system, and progression comes from gear, base facilities, clan position and the Power Pyramid. The "build" pages on this site therefore describe loadouts and routes, not stat allocations.
That is not a limitation to work around. It means a fresh player with a good route can compete with a veteran who has better gear but a worse exit. The best build page→ leans into that: weapon role, bag discipline and spawn location matter more than a number on a sheet.
FAQ
Is ROB RUN free to play?
Yes. ROB RUN is free to play on Steam, with optional B-Coins used for cosmetics. Kefir states that purchases do not affect stats, balance or progression.
Is ROB RUN pay to win?
The official position is no: B-Coins buy cosmetic items only. The practical advantage in the game comes from player count, clan organisation and map knowledge, not from store purchases.
How often does ROB RUN wipe?
Every seven days in the current build. Kefir describes the wipe as a Federal Raid and says the cycle exists to reset the rags-to-riches arc. The studio has also said the length could change.
Can I play ROB RUN solo?
Yes, and the first cycle is arguably easier solo because you are not sharing a bag or a plan. Group play helps in heists and territory fights, but a solo player who understands exits can make steady money.
